gnome-art

There's this neat proggy called gnome-art, which is a nifty interface to download and install all kinds of stuff from art.gnome.org, including icon sets, backgrounds and what not. Thanks to louiswu for pointing out its existance on Portage.

A sample screenshot, after some icon and background customizations :) (Full size = 1280x1024, File size = ~ 300+ Kb, clicky to see)

Clean version here.

Scaling using img attributes—bad thing. You might want to use Flickr or something, so that you don't have to bother about multiple sizes, etc.

I just got rid of a gentoo at work and replaced it with Fedora. I am feeling very satisfied today...

Try doing a emerge world after not having upgraded for a year. Any o.s. that causes two days of downtime is going to remain a toy operating system :D

Hah. Don't blame the OS, when you don't keep it up to date :)

Dude, stop blaming stuff. There's something called the "Stable Tree" if you've not heard of it. No Friday. Nothing.

Don't even start to compare MS and this man :p

What's the alternative? KDE?

I use Fluxbox as well and am waiting for e17 to go stable :p
