Gnome 2.12

Gnome 2.12 rocks. Things like menu display are instantaneous. Gnome on the whole just became faster and that is good. I'm currently using

rohandsa's pics as a wallpaper and a here's screenie 1 and a cleaner screenie 2.

In fact, I'm going to start pushing the Gentoo Gnome guys to stop forcing people to merge Evolution. I'll keep you posted :D

Bah, good try. Let me know if that ever happens. Dude You wouldnt believe how closely evolution is bound to gnome, TB my friend just runs on gnome. It practically does nothing else.

p.s: Lame replies like atleast it runs are purely lack of imagination

nope, I was talking abt Gnome integration. Like nautilus integration and theme integration and in 2.14 a lot of applets will depend on evolution-data-server.

I was never worried about people building a light gnome, there are still a lot of people who use just mutt and pine. So building evo for them makes no sense and so does building glade, epiphany etc. The point being Evolution is the default mail client for Gnome and it will continue to be because Evolution-data-server is now being used by people as a development platform. By not building evo you would be soon forced to not build a few stuff.
