ccache works wonders :)

I'd given up on having Mozilla 1.6 & Mozilla Thunderbird on the same system, when I decided to make this post for help (Solved it anyway, my fault to begin with. Good I didn't go file a bug report with Gentoo lol). Since that didn't really give any solid leads, I decided to investigate as to what was actually going on...& re-compiled Mozilla. That's where I saw the actual coolness of ccache. Here's some info :

 * net-www/mozilla-1.6-r1
        Emerged at: Sun Apr  4 02:57:51 2004
        Build time: 3 hours, 56 minutes, and 17 seconds
        Emerged at: Tue Apr  6 01:35:59 2004
        Build time: 1 hour, 17 minutes, and 15 seconds

Geeez. ccache cut down compile time by half. I'm impressed. As in this is really cool. I didn't actually believe the Gentoo docs here which says In common compilations this can result in 5 to 10 times faster compilation times. Neat features. I'm in love with Gentoo :)

PL wasn't there today as well. Guess she's not keeping very well. Helped someone at Sify install Fedora Core 1. Oh & yeah there are things in life you can't really make sense of, no matter how hard you try.
